Description

Position Scope:

Responsible for driving Compact Construction Equipment (CCE) sales through relentless prospecting, relationship building, and business development efforts. This role is focused on generating new opportunities, expanding market share, and growing revenue by consistently pursuing new customers and uncovering untapped sales opportunities. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, competitive self-starter who thrives on the grind of cold calling, customer visits, networking, and closing deals. Success in this role requires a hunter mentality, a strong sense of urgency, and a passion for building a robust sales pipeline while managing online Compact Equipment inventory and website listings to maximize equipment visibility and sales performance.

Education Requirements:

• 2 or 4 year degree with concentration in business administration, supply chain management, marketing, or related field. 

• Relevant work experience may replace education requirements.


Essential Job Functions:

• Develop and manage territory sales opportunities for Compact equipment

• Prospect and develop new customers through cold calls, customer visits, networking, referrals, trade shows, and digital outreach.

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying equipment needs and new sales opportunities.

• Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline through consistent follow-up and lead generation activities.

• Negotiate pricing, financing, and trade-in terms to successfully close equipment sales.

• Collaborate with service, parts, and logistics teams to support equipment readiness and customer satisfaction.

• Represent the company at customer events, trade shows, and community activities to generate business opportunities.

• Drive market share growth by pursuing new business opportunities and achieving assigned sales goals.


Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Salesforce and DBS experience is preferred.

• Previous experience with heavy equipment operation, valuation, or sales is preferred.

• Demonstrated success in outside sales, business development, or territory growth roles.

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals through proactive prospecting and relationship building.

• Experience developing new accounts and expanding business in competitive markets.

• Strong negotiation and closing skills.

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and customer opportunities.

• Bilingual, English & Spanish preferred.

The environment is fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and sales-driven. The successful candidate must be comfortable actively pursuing new business opportunities, building customer relationships, and maintaining a high level of sales activity. This position requires a strong work ethic, self-motivation, and commitment to achieving results. Flexibility and responsiveness to customer needs are essential, including occasional early mornings, evenings, customer events, trade shows, and Saturdays as business and customer demands require.

Most work is conducted in a comfortable office environment, but frequent travel to customer sites, sales locations, equipment yards, trade shows, and industry events is expected. Personal protective equipment must be worn in designated areas as required.
