Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated leadership in similar roles.
About the Role
As the Director of Facilities and Property Management at Pathfinder, you will provide strategic leadership that helps ensure our facilities, properties, fleet, and organizational assets are safe, compliant, efficient, and well-maintained. You'll work across multiple locations and collaborate with leaders, team members, vendors, and business partners to support the spaces and resources that help move Pathfinder's mission forward.
As a Director of Facilities and Property Management at Pathfinder, You Will:
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Provide organizational oversight of facilities, fleet, property management, safety, compliance, security, and risk management activities across multiple locations.
- Develop departmental goals, performance measures, and priorities that support operational excellence.
- Create and monitor annual facilities management and capital budgets.
- Collaborate with management and executive leadership to identify needs and priorities for capital projects and future improvements.
- Develop and track departmental performance goals and initiatives.
- Report significant facility, fleet, safety, compliance, and property management concerns to organizational leadership.
Facilities & Property Operations
- Develop, implement, and maintain facility plans, preventative maintenance programs, and replacement schedules for building systems, equipment, and organizational assets.
- Maintain recordkeeping systems related to facility use, maintenance schedules, and required compliance information.
- Conduct or coordinate inspections of Pathfinder facilities and properties.
- Oversee life safety, fire protection, security, access control, maintenance, renovations, installations, and other facility needs.
- Research and estimate project costs, including labor, equipment, and materials.
- Lead remodeling and facility improvement projects while coordinating schedules and deadlines with the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Coordinate property moves and other facility-related projects.
- Visit Pathfinder-owned properties regularly with the Maintenance Supervisor to help identify needs and support proactive maintenance.
Team Leadership & Development
- Directly supervise and provide leadership to the Maintenance Supervisor and Fleet Services Manager.
- Provide guidance, support, and direction that promotes accountability and high-quality performance.

- Work collaboratively with team members to solve problems and improve processes.
- Serve as a role model through ethical leadership, resourcefulness, professionalism, and stability.
Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
- Develop and maintain facilities and safety policies, procedures, and programs that support safe and compliant operations.
- Participate in facility inspections and activities related to life safety, security, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential risks and support strategies that protect Pathfinder's people, properties, and resources.
- Help ensure facilities and operations meet applicable internal, local, state, and federal requirements.
Fleet & Insurance Oversight
- Provide oversight of fleet services, replacement schedules, grants, annual budgets, and related operational needs.
- Support the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of Pathfinder's vehicle fleet.
- Oversee insurance administration activities related to property and fleet programs.
- Coordinate claims management, loss prevention efforts, and insurance-related property inspections.
Property Management & Real Estate
- Coordinate property-related activities, including property searches, due diligence, acquisitions, dispositions, leases, and realtor relationships.
- Serve as a key contact for property management companies, realtors, and other business partners.
- Support organizational planning related to space utilization, capital improvements, and property initiatives.
Vendor & Contractor Partnerships
- Build and maintain productive relationships with vendors, contractors, insurance representatives, property management companies, and other partners.
- Coordinate vendor contracts and annual pricing for services such as snow removal and mowing.
- Help ensure contracted services meet organizational needs and expectations.

Preferred Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
- 5 years of property or facility management preferred.
- 1 year of supervisory experience required.
- General knowledge of facility maintenance needs required.
- Experience with facility and capital budgets required.
- Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance required.
- Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language.
