Jaxon is looking for a Sustainment Technician to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO.

Salary: $24.00-$26.00 per hour plus per diems while traveling

Schedule: Full-Time with opportunity for OT

Travel Requirement: While this role is primarily a position located in Colorado Springs, a Sustainment Technician should be prepared to travel very often and as needed. Travel expenses are paid by the company.

Security Clearance Requirement:  This role requires the ability and willingness to obtain a Department of Defense Top-Secret Clearance.

Primary Duties: 

  • Refurbishment, maintenance, and testing of EMP protected assemblies, items and facilities
  • Provide accurate, high-quality drafts of documentation
  • Data reduction and analysis
  • Operation of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) systems
  • Electronic system troubleshooting
  • Material procurement and inventory management
  • General construction activities
  • Perform maintenance activities by means of rope access
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with both internal & external customers
  • Meet all applicable OSHA requirements
Requirements

  

Required Job Qualifications: 

  • Able to obtain and maintain rope access certification through SPRAT
  • Proficient in using Microsoft office; especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to sustain a 50-60%+ annual travel schedule nationally and internationally
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and customers
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to manage time and priorities
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Desired Job Qualifications:

  • Prior construction, maintenance, or electronics experience preferred

Must have the ability or willingness to do the following: 

  • Obtain United States passport 
  • Use grinders, chop saws, drills, plasma cutters and both scissor lift & variable-reach forklifts 
  • Ability to bend over, kneel and crouch for long periods of time, & able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs often
