Lactalis Heritage Dairy, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Customer Business Lead (CBL), Walmart. This is a fully remote position, with a preference for candidates located in Arkansas due to the role’s focus on the Walmart account.
The Customer Business Lead (CBL) is accountable for delivering volume, revenue, and gross profit results across the Walmart account. This role leads the customer business strategy by understanding Walmart’s specific business needs and priorities and translating them into effective execution. The CBL and their team are accountable for pricing, shelving, merchandising, and distribution execution to drive strong customer and business performance.
From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Lead the assigned sales team in developing and executing sales plans that deliver growth targets, while providing ongoing leadership and support, including time in the field engaging directly with customers.
- Develop and execute strategies and plans to drive business growth across the region.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, priorities, KPIs, and business and category objectives.
- Develop and execute sales and account plans that meet customer objectives while aligning with corporate strategies, initiatives, and guidelines, including customized SKUs and operational targets.
- Leverage cross-functional Lactalis Heritage Dairy (LHD) resources, including Category Management, Sales Finance, Shopper Marketing, and other key partners, to drive customer and business success.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer representatives and decision-makers.
- Lead the development and delivery of customer presentations, ensuring compelling, insight-driven recommendations.
- Oversee customer P&Ls and financial performance, ensuring achievement of key targets, including growth rates and trade rates.
- Oversee trade spending and promotional programs to support business growth and customer objectives.
- Provide key inputs to demand planning and the S&OP process to support effective business planning and execution.
- Provide category thought leadership and customer insights to identify opportunities that drive category performance and business growth.
- Build and develop a high-performing team through recruiting, talent assessment, coaching and mentorship, constructive and timely feedback, and actionable development plans for direct reports.
From your STORY to ours
Qualified applicants will contribute the following:
- 5+ years of experience in CPG sales and account management.
- Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
- Proven experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional partners, including analysts, Supply Chain, and other business functions.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify insights, and translate findings into actionable plans.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Adaptable and able to navigate and succeed in a changing work environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and strong overall computer and systems skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
