The Role
The Plant Manager plays a key part in overseeing the overall production of our Polymer manufacturing facility. This role is designed for someone who thrives in manufacturing, enjoys leading from the front, and is motivated by the challenge of supervising and maintaining a manufacturing plant and it’s employees.
You will oversee production schedules, staffing, safety, and quality. At the same time, you’ll be hands-on — willing to step onto the floor, run equipment, troubleshoot issues, and help wherever needed to keep operations moving. This is a working leadership role for someone who values both people and production.
What You’ll Do
Leadership & People
- Train, and support production team members.
- Provide daily direction and clear expectations.
- Coach and mentor employees to grow skills and improve performance.
- Lead by example by modeling safe, efficient, and respectful work habits.
Production Operations & Oversight
- Manage daily production schedules and meet output goals.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Monitor product quality and quickly address any issues.
- Partner with maintenance to minimize downtime and keep equipment in top condition.
- Step into production roles when needed to cover, assist, or train.
- Troubleshoot issues on the floor to keep operations running.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify ways to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
- Track and report production data, metrics, and progress toward goals.
- Share ideas and partner with leadership to build long-term success for the facility.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or production supervision.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Comfortable in a hands-on role that blends supervision with direct contribution.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in concrete, construction materials, or heavy manufacturing preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move throughout the production facility regularly.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during ramp-up or peak demand periods.
