Position Summary
The Payroll & Talent Resources Systems Assistant supports the accurate and timely processing of weekly and biweekly payroll while maintaining employee data across Talent Resources, payroll, and enterprise systems. Working under the guidance of the CTO and Payroll Administrator, this role assists with payroll administration, employee record maintenance, reporting, and system updates to ensure accurate and consistent employee information throughout the employee lifecycle.
This position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively across multiple systems and departments.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Support
- Assist with processing weekly payroll and biweekly payroll.
- Review payroll information for accuracy and completeness.
- Support employee status changes including hires, transfers, compensation changes, leaves of absence, and terminations.
- Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations, reporting, and year-end activities.
- Respond to routine employee payroll inquiries.
- Maintain payroll records in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Talent Resources Systems & Employee Data Management
- Enter, maintain, and audit employee data across Talent Resources, payroll, benefits, and enterprise systems.
- Maintain employee information in CMiC, Bridget, payroll, benefits, learning, performance management, and other company systems.
- Conduct routine data audits and resolve discrepancies.
- Support system upgrades, testing, implementations, and process improvements.
- Maintain electronic employee files and records.
Reporting & Administrative Support
- May assist with generating payroll, workforce, and Talent Resources reports.
- Assist with compliance reporting, audits, and management requests.
- Provide administrative support for onboarding, offboarding, and other employee lifecycle activities.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
Experience
- 1-3 years of payroll, Talent Resources, accounting, data management, or administrative support experience preferred.
- Experience working with payroll, TRIS/HRIS, ERP, or workforce management systems preferred.
- Construction industry experience is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with CMiC, Bridget, payroll systems, benefits administration platforms, talent management systems, and other Human Capital Management (HCM) applications a plus.
- Strong data entry, auditing, and reporting skills.
- Ability to learn and navigate multiple integrated systems.
