Manager, Tours and Events Marketing
Fully Remote Remote Worker - N/A
Description

We produce 15 consumer tours and events each year across our portfolio of brands in homebuilding, woodworking, gardening, and sewing. From garden tours and maker workshops to homebuilding expos, these events bring our highly engaged audiences together in meaningful ways — and represent a growing consumer revenue opportunity for our brands.

As Manager of Tours & Events Marketing, you will be responsible for driving consumer demand and ticket sales across our portfolio of events and tours. You will develop and execute marketing campaigns that turn awareness into registrations, with a particular focus on email marketing, audience outreach, promotional campaigns, and hitting ticket and revenue goals.

This is a hands-on, results-oriented marketing role for someone who enjoys owning a number, moving quickly, and figuring out what it takes to get an event from “we need more registrations” to “we hit our goal.” You’ll manage campaigns across multiple events at different stages of their sales cycles, identify opportunities to increase conversion, and proactively develop new ways to reach prospective attendees.

Event production, logistics, and vendor management sit with a separate team — this role is squarely focused on marketing, audience growth, ticket sales, and revenue.

Requirements
  • Own ticket and tour sales goals across approximately 15 annual events and tours, developing and executing marketing plans designed to meet or exceed registration and revenue targets. Proactively identify opportunities to increase ticket sales and adjust campaign strategy based on registration pace, performance, audience behavior, and remaining inventory.
  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns throughout the event lifecycle, including audience prospect lists, launch, early-bird promotions, deadline/price-increase campaigns, speaker or experience spotlights, last-chance pushes, and final registration drives as well as nurturing and remarketing campaigns.
  • Lead direct outreach and promotional efforts to relevant communities, organizations, partners, influencers, industry groups, clubs, and other audiences that can help drive registrations.
  • Manage and optimize paid media campaigns across channels such as search, social, display, and retargeting to generate qualified traffic and registrations.
  • Monitor performance regularly. Use performance data to make recommendations and implement changes to audience targeting, messaging, offers, pricing, landing pages, and campaign timing to improve results.

WHY THIS ROLE

Our tours and events are centerpiece experiences that bring our brand communities to life in the real world. A gardener who attends one of our garden tours doesn't just buy a ticket — they deepen a relationship with our brand that influences their subscription, their course purchases, and their loyalty for years. This role is your opportunity to own the marketing that makes those connections happen, across 15 events and a passionate, highly engaged audience.
