Position Overview: Seasonal Area Manager
Reports to: Regional Manager

The Seasonal Area Manager is a key member of the Hickory Farms retail team, responsible for driving retail sales, improving customer satisfaction, and overseeing all activities within their district. This role includes both strategic and tactical elements aimed at achieving short- and long-term sales growth objectives. The Seasonal Area Manager will focus on recruiting, training, managing, and motivating a dedicated sales force of Seasonal Store Managers and Sales Associates to deliver exceptional customer experiences and meet sales goals.

The Seasonal Area Manager will also play a proactive role in developing sales strategies and ensuring the consistent execution of sales plans across multiple locations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Recruitment & Training
- Assist the Regional Manager in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training Seasonal Store Managers and Sales Associates
- Ensure proper onboarding and ongoing training of all new hires to meet sales and customer service goals
Sales & Performance Management
- Work with Store Managers to ensure sales objectives and merchandising standards are met
- Oversee the daily operations of assigned retail locations, ensuring adherence to company policies and operational guidelines
- Provide guidance and support to Store Managers and Associates to enhance sales conversion rates and customer satisfaction
Team Development & Motivation
- Motivate and develop a high-performing team by providing continuous coaching and leadership
- Regularly communicate with the Seasonal Store Managers about sales initiatives and provide strategies to maximize performance
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Address routine Employee Relations issues and report them to the Seasonal Employee Relations Specialist as needed
- Immediately report any complaints of discrimination, sexual harassment, or violations of the company’s policies (e.g., EEO, meal/rest breaks) to Noor Staffing Corporate Office
Safety & Loss Prevention
- Ensure all Store Managers are trained on company safety and loss prevention programs, including OSHA compliance
- Monitor and enforce adherence to loss prevention policies across the district
Reporting & Administration
- Report on sales performance and operational updates to the Regional Manager
- Complete all required training courses and materials as assigned by the company
Other duties
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Manager to support the success of the district

Work Environment/Physical Demands:
The Seasonal Area Manager works primarily in a retail district environment and will regularly travel to different store locations. The position requires:
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel between locations, including driving or using other means of transportation
- Occasional need to stand, walk, or move items during store visits
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs for tasks like stock management and/or up to 42 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Work Environment:
- High-traffic retail setting, with increased activity during weekends, holidays, and peak seasons
- Exposure to various weather conditions, especially when traveling between stores
- Most work is performed in a normal retail environment or/and in car. Taking meetings, calls, etc. Will need to be available for emergency issues that may arise.
- The environment is a high-traffic area with increased activity during evenings, weekends and holidays. Workers are subject to hazards and occasional exposure to weather and to hot and cold temperatures due to restocking kiosks and going in and out of freezers/storage units to restock products.
Travel:
- Local travel to assigned store locations is required, especially during high-traffic times and for operational needs.
- Depending on the assigned region, travel could be up to or over 1,000 miles a week. Overnight travel is required as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required; ability to drive as needed for the position.

Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent education and/or experience required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Sales, marketing, and multi-unit operations experience preferred, with experience building and managing a national retail brand.
