Safety Manager
Description

The Environmental, Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing the work  environment and design programs and procedures to control, eliminate and prevent disease or injury.  This  position will interact with all areas of the business including, but not limited to: Management. Operations, Quality,  and Human Resources.  

 1. Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or  materials. 

 2. Investigate accidents to identify causes or to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.  

 3. Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety  standards and   government regulations. 

 4. Manage environmental and OSHA regulatory reporting and record keeping requirements.  

 5. Maintain or update emergency response plans or procedures. 

 6. Conduct safety training or education programs and demonstrate the use of safety equipment.  

 7. Keep accurate records of all EH&S activity: employee training, SDS database, OSHA reporting, etc.  

 8. Provide new-employee health and safety orientations and develop materials for these presentations.  

Requirements

 1. Excellent Problem solving skills  

 2. Ability to understand production processes and awareness about production operations. 

 3. Strong communication skills including verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal.  

 4. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.  


 1. Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene or related field OR  equivalent work experience.

 2. 5+ years of EH&S Experience 

 3. Knowledge  of local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA, NIOSH and EPA standards.
