The Repair Team Member is responsible for performing skilled manufacturing and assembly operations to ensure products are built, inspected, and prepared in accordance with engineering and customer specifications. This role performs steel fit-up and assembly, material handling, sanding and grinding, equipment inspections, and product readiness activities, including PDI and final shipment preparation. The position may also perform welding, painting, repairs, and other skilled operations as needed. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and able to read blueprints, use power and hand tools, troubleshoot issues, and work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Measure, compare and make simple or complex shop calculations necessary to ensure products are in conformance with engineering or sales specifications using materials, methods and equipment in the shop (included but not limited to sanders, drills, air, and electric hand cutting tools)
- Material fit ups and layouts with steel
- Apply non-standard repairs to units using assembly practices and procedures
- Review units for readiness, PDI and final inspections
- Complete requirements for unit readiness, PDI and Final shipment.
- Complete premium and skilled operations such as Weld and Paint as needed
- Position and secure workpieces using hand tools, forklifts, etc.
- Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions
- Sanding/grinding
- Breaking out steel
- Steel panel assembly with bolt together construction
- Material handling/forklift
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent, required
- Manufacturing experience, preferred
- Able to use power tools
- Able to read tape measure
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to read blueprints
- Able to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Must be highly motivated
- Able to communicate and work well with others
- Read, write and speak English fluently
