Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
- Conduct exploratory analyses and ad hoc research to answer critical business questions.
- Deliver clear, actionable recommendations that support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
- Translate complex analytical findings into business-friendly presentations and reports.
- Predictive Analytics & Modeling
- Develop, test, and support predictive models for initiatives such as: Pricing optimization, Claims forecasting, Fraud detection, Customer segmentation, Business performance forecasting
- Apply statistical methods and machine learning techniques to solve challenging business problems.
- Conduct A/B testing and program effectiveness analysis to measure outcomes and guide decision-making.
- Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and KPI reporting solutions using visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Partner with stakeholders to define meaningful business metrics and reporting requirements.
- Monitor business performance and identify emerging trends through data visualization and reporting.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with teams across underwriting, product, marketing, operations, and leadership to scope and execute analytical projects.
- Collaborate with data engineering and governance teams to improve data quality, consistency, and documentation.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of curated data assets and analytical datasets.
- Share best practices and help foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Experience
- 4+ years of experience in a data science, advanced analytics, or related role.
- Experience within the insurance or financial services industry is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with insurance-related data, including quotes, policies, claims, rating, or customer data, is highly desirable.
- Auto insurance experience is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in predictive modeling, machine learning, statistical analysis, and data mining techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in: Python, SQL
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Ability to work with large, complex datasets and create scalable, repeatable analytical solutions.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure, AWS, Databricks, or similar technologies is a plus.

- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time, typically 6 to 8 hours per day, while working at a computer.
