SUMMARY
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the Sales and Marketing Department, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer experience while driving sales growth and business development.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and analyze sales and operational records and reports; use data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets and/or customers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and sales representatives, managing requests for quotations, order entry, and production scheduling while ensuring clear communication and timely follow-up.
- Responsible for accurate, timely quotations and customer service responses.
- Follow up on quotes with independent sales representatives, technical sales manager and customers.
- Work with and actively participate in independent sales representative and customer meetings.
- Interface with customers on their concerns and engage in consultative selling.
- Provide accurate, timely feedback to internal and external sales personnel regarding expectations, performance levels and achievement of these levels.
- Forecast sales and budget for Sales & Marketing Department.
- Work with vendors to monitor schedules for patterns, castings, machining, tooling, outside services.
- Coordinate trade show activities with the technical sales manager.
- Participate in monthly closing strategy.
- Engage in developing strategy for presentation and selling the quote.
- Coordinate engineering meetings between technical sales, customer and TPi sales reps, as needed.
- Job close-outs and financial evaluation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent plus ten (10) years of industrial sales or manufacturing experience, or equivalent.
- Some US travel for customer & independent sales representative visits, plus trade shows.
- Ability to write and verbally communicate in a clear, concise manner with customers and representatives.
- Ability to work on computers (spreadsheet, word processing, ERP system, MS Outlook).
- Hit rate on quotes and maintain margin.
- Independent sales representative and customer satisfaction surveys.
- Quote timeliness.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
Physical Demands
This position requires extended periods of working in the foundry. Sitting and viewing computer monitor, as well as lifting pushing and pulling of material, as necessary.
Working Conditions
The employee will be exposed to an environment where hearing, eye safety and safety shoes are required.
