Description

We're looking for an Agronomy Admin & Operations Assistant to join our Stewartville Agronomy team.  In this key role, you'll support customers, employees, and daily agronomy operations while helping ensure the location runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.


Requirements
  • Serve as a go-to resource for the location by providing excellent customer service, answering phones, greeting customers, invoicing, addressing billing inquiries, processing payments, etc. 
  • Support Sales Agronomist activities by assisting walk-in customers, facilitating customer orders, answering phones, loading product, invoicing, processing customer payments and prepays, supporting farm planning activities and providing product and process resources. 
  • Coordinate with sales and operations staff to ensure products are available and ready for customers in a timely manner.
  • Support Finance Department processes, including entering inventory receipts, reconciling invoice discrepancies, performing monthly reconciliations and balancing.
  • Assist with planning and executing agronomy operations, including ground and aerial application activities, support for the off-site anhydrous ammonia location, work order creation and staging, and coordination of staff assignments.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and adapt quickly to changing operational needs with minimal supervision.
  • Three (3) years of agronomy operations experience, similar industry experience, or demonstrated ability to perform the role successfully.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing daily priorities and seasonal demands.
  • Basic agronomic knowledge, CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsements, and Custom Applicator License are preferred.
  • Must be 18 and eligible to work in the United States. Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Work hours vary, and extended hours are required during peak seasons and as business needs dictate. Additional duties may be assigned to support operational and business objectives.

The starting pay range for those new to the business is $26.00 to $28.00 per hour, based on job-related skills, background experience, and industry knowledge.
