Starting Pay: $72,096-$94,509

Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated leadership in similar roles.  

 


As the Information and Technology Director at Pathfinder, you will provide strategic leadership for the technology, systems, and information that help our organization operate effectively and securely. You'll lead efforts to ensure employees have reliable technology and support while helping Pathfinder manage information security, technology risk, data, and innovation in ways that strengthen our mission and services.


As an Information and Technology Director at Pathfinder, You Will:

Technology Strategy & Organizational Planning

  • Plan, organize, and oversee the activities and priorities of Pathfinder's Information and Technology Services department.
  • Develop and implement technology strategies that align with Pathfinder's organizational goals and operational needs.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to assess technology needs and plan for system changes and improvements.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of technology initiatives while ensuring appropriate stakeholder involvement, training, and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed about emerging technology trends and identify relevant opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Establish departmental objectives and measure progress toward information and enabling technology goals.
  • Develop and manage the department's annual budget and administer resources responsibly.

Technology Operations & Employee Support

  • Optimize technology operations to provide employees with reliable, high-quality, and consistently available systems.
  • Help minimize disruptions to the information and technology systems used throughout the organization.
  • Ensure employees receive timely and effective support to learn, troubleshoot, and successfully use technology.
  • Lead and develop the IT team to support strong performance and dependable service.
  • Promote efficient processes and continuous improvement within Information and Technology Services.

Information Security, Risk & Compliance

  • Serve as Pathfinder's Information Security Officer.
  • Assess and manage risks to critical systems and private information through effective security controls and employee training.
  • Lead the execution and monitoring of Pathfinder's Written Information Security Program.
  • Stay informed about applicable legal, accreditation, regulatory, and compliance requirements related to information technology.
  • Adapt technology operations and practices as needed to support compliance and protect organizational information.

Data & Systems Management

  • Help ensure Pathfinder has the systems, resources, and protocols needed to manage data as a reliable organizational asset.
  • Support technology solutions that provide decision-makers with dependable and accessible information.
  • Oversee a variety of technology systems and help ensure they work together effectively to meet organizational needs.
  • Support the management, design, and deployment of Pathfinder's technology environment, including private domains and cloud-based systems.

Vendor & Resource Management

  • Manage relationships between technology vendors and organizational leaders.
  • Ensure third-party technology services and systems are coordinated effectively and support Pathfinder's business needs.
  • Oversee resources and vendor partnerships that contribute to reliable technology operations.
  • Manage technology projects and organizational change while balancing priorities and resources.

Requirements

Preferred Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable certifications in information technology, computer science, or related field.
  • Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in various phases of information technology operations.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience directing employees and managing resources (including third party vendors) in an information technology environment. 
  • Demonstrates expertise in utilizing and understanding data and the ability to manage multiple systems. 
  • Understands the management, design, and deployment of a hybrid Windows-based architecture consisting of private domains and the cloud. 
  • Knowledge of information security, risk management, compliance and the shared responsibility model associated with Software as a Service.
  • Thorough knowledge of information technology operations and service management.
  • Knowledge of and experience with varied technical software.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related business software.
  • Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language.
