The Pharmacy Technician, under the direction and supervision of the pharmacist, assists in measuring, counting, packaging, and labeling and delivery of medications for review by the licensed pharmacist. Manages inventory, enters data into EMR and provides exceptional customer service to patients, families and staff. Coordinates delivery of medications with staff and assists the Pharmacist with clerical duties, answers and screens phone calls. Maintains clean and sterile work environment in compliance with state regulations.
High School diploma or equivalent required, pharmacy experience and general office skills, general knowledge of inventory of medications and supplies preferred. Pharmacy Technician Certification required or obtained within first year of employment.

Must demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment and observe universal precautions. Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds using proper body mechanics. Must arrange travel and be able to access facilities/homes independently. Must carry state minimum in automobile liability insurance. Valid driver’s license required.
