The Senior Solution Architect – Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE Sales will lead complex, enterprise-level assessments and define the architecture and transformation roadmap for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and related customer engagement capabilities. The role requires a highly experienced architect with a proven background assessing, designing, and delivering large-scale Dynamics 365 CE deployments across complex business and technology environments.

This is a senior, client-facing position requiring deep expertise in enterprise sales processes, Dynamics 365 CE architecture, Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, integrations, data migration, security, governance, and application lifecycle management. The architect must be able to evaluate existing platforms, identify architectural and operational gaps, assess technical risks, and recommend scalable solutions aligned with Microsoft best practices.

The Solution Architect will lead executive interviews, discovery workshops, current-state assessments, fit-gap analyses, and architecture reviews. They will translate business objectives and technical findings into future-state designs, prioritized recommendations, implementation roadmaps, cost and effort considerations, and actionable modernization plans.

The role will maintain architectural accountability throughout the engagement and work closely with customer executives, business and IT stakeholders, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Functional Consultants, Technical Architects, Developers, Data Engineers, and Microsoft teams. The successful candidate must be confident presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership while ensuring proposed solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with measurable business outcomes

This position must be based onshore in the United States.

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Lead the end-to-end architecture      and design of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE solutions, with primary emphasis      on Dynamics 365 Sales.
  • Architect solutions involving:
    • Lead, account, contact, and       opportunity management
    • Sales qualification and business       process flows
    • Product catalogs, pricing, quotes,       and orders
    • Pipeline management, forecasting,       goals, and territories
    • Sales productivity and       relationship intelligence
    • Copilot for Sales and AI-enabled       sales processes
    • Outlook, Teams, and Microsoft 365       integrations
    • Power Apps, Power Automate, Power       BI, and Copilot Studio
  • Translate business requirements      into scalable functional and technical solution designs.
  • Define the overall application,      integration, data, security, reporting, and deployment architecture.
  • Determine when to use native      platform functionality, configuration, low-code extensions, or custom      development.
  • Ensure solutions follow      Microsoft-recommended architecture, security, performance, and application      lifecycle management practices.
  • Produce solution architecture      diagrams, design documents, decision logs, integration specifications, and      implementation roadmaps.

Business Process & Requirements Leadership

  • Facilitate discovery sessions and      solution-design workshops with sales, operations, IT, and executive      stakeholders.
  • Analyze current-state sales      processes, pain points, system limitations, and future-state requirements.
  • Partner with Business Analysts and      Functional Leads to develop:
    • Business requirements
    • Process maps
    • User stories and acceptance       criteria
    • Functional design documents
    • Fit-gap assessments
    • Solution backlogs
  • Challenge requirements when      necessary and recommend simpler, scalable, and supportable approaches.
  • Maintain traceability between      business outcomes, requirements, solution components, and delivery scope.
  • Support backlog prioritization,      sprint planning, demonstrations, and stakeholder acceptance.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE Expertise

  • Provide architectural leadership      across Dynamics 365 Sales capabilities.
  • Design Dataverse data models,      relationships, business rules, forms, views, dashboards, and business      process flows.
  • Define organizational structures,      business units, teams, security roles, field-level security, and access      models.
  • Guide the design of model-driven      applications and user experiences.
  • Oversee platform customization      involving JavaScript, plugins, custom APIs, PCF controls, and Azure      services.
  • Advise on licensing, capacity,      storage, environment, and platform-governance considerations.
  • Evaluate new Dynamics 365, Power      Platform, and Copilot capabilities for customer use cases.

Power Platform, Copilot & AI Solutions

  • Architect solutions using Power      Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Microsoft Copilot Studio.
  • Identify opportunities to automate      sales and customer-engagement processes.
  • Design AI-enabled use cases      involving Copilot, intelligent recommendations, summaries, qualification      assistance, and autonomous agents.
  • Establish governance for      connectors, environments, data-loss prevention policies, reusable      components, and citizen-development scenarios.
  • Ensure Copilot and AI solutions      follow responsible AI, data security, access-control, and compliance      requirements.

Integration & Data Architecture

  • Design integrations between      Dynamics 365 CE and enterprise platforms, including:
    • Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply       Chain Management
    • Dynamics 365 Business Central
    • ERP and order-management systems
    • Marketing and customer data       platforms
    • Data warehouses and Microsoft       Fabric
    • Third-party sales, quoting,       finance, and service applications
  • Define integration patterns using      APIs, Azure services, middleware, virtual tables, custom connectors, and      event-driven architectures.
  • Lead data-migration planning,      including data assessment, cleansing, mapping, transformation,      reconciliation, and validation.
  • Establish master-data ownership,      synchronization, error-handling, monitoring, and recovery strategies.
  • Ensure integrations and migrations      meet performance, scalability, security, and supportability requirements.

Technical Leadership & Delivery Coordination

  • Provide architectural direction to      Functional Consultants, Developers, Integration Specialists, Data      Engineers, and Quality Assurance teams.
  • Review functional designs,      technical designs, configurations, customizations, and code for      architectural compliance.
  • Resolve complex functional and      technical issues throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Coordinate architecture decisions      across CRM, ERP, Power Platform, Copilot, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure      services.
  • Support project estimation,      resource planning, dependency management, and delivery sequencing.
  • Mentor team members and promote      consistent Microsoft implementation standards.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft      FastTrack engineers, Microsoft account teams, and partner resources when      applicable.

Governance, Security & Quality Management

  • Establish and maintain architecture      governance, design-review processes, and solution-quality standards.
  • Maintain architecture decision      records, technical risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
  • Identify architectural risks early      and develop practical mitigation strategies.

  • Guide branching, release,      configuration-management, and rollback strategies.
  • Ensure separation of duties and      appropriate deployment controls across environments.
  • Support release planning and      coordinate technical dependencies across delivery teams.

Go-Live & Post-Go-Live Support

  • Lead technical readiness reviews      and support go-live decision-making.
  • Guide cutover planning, production      deployment, data migration, validation, and rollback preparation.
  • Provide architectural oversight      during hypercare and production stabilization.
  • Support performance tuning, defect      resolution, integration monitoring, and security validation.
  • Ensure effective knowledge transfer      and transition to customer support and operations teams.

Presales & Client Engagement

  • Support presales discovery,      solution demonstrations, proposals, estimations, and statements of work.
  • Develop solution approaches,      architecture diagrams, delivery assumptions, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Present proposed solutions to      business leaders, IT executives, and technical stakeholders.
  • Explain complex technical concepts      in clear business language.
  • Build trusted relationships with      clients and maintain confidence throughout the engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to expand      Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Copilot, Fabric, and Azure adoption.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience delivering      Microsoft business application, CRM, or enterprise technology solutions.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience      with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement.
  • 5+ years serving as a Solution      Architect or Technical Architect on enterprise implementations.
  • Deep functional and technical      experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales.
  • Proven experience architecting      multi-workstream and enterprise-scale implementations.
  • Strong understanding of      lead-to-opportunity, opportunity-to-order, forecasting, pipeline      management, and sales-performance processes.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft      Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Platform architecture.
  • Experience designing integrations,      data migrations, security models, and ALM strategies.
  • Experience leading discovery      workshops and translating requirements into solution architectures.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate      functional, technical, integration, data, and testing teams.
  • Strong client-facing communication,      facilitation, documentation, and executive-presentation skills.
  • Experience working with Azure      DevOps.
  • Must be based onshore in the United      States.
