Summary & Objective


The Contract Associate works with Contract Specialist to maintain all documents contractual in nature as well as documents related to provider credentialing.


Essential Functions

  • Interacts with the public and other employees in a positive manner and promote a cooperative working environment.
  • Works under the direction of the Contract Specialist and Senior Director of Finance to help manage all aspects of contract maintenance and contract administration for nursing homes, hospitals, physicians, providers and other vendors while ensuring all provider credentials are up to date in accordance to contract and by coordinating with Human Resources.
  • Assists in the preparation of legal documents such as contracts, credentialing documents and other documents related to Catholic Hospice.•Coordinate provider credentialing and re-credentialing including payor enrollment processes, document collection and tracking of requirements.
  • Secondary point of contact for contracted staff.
  • Prepares and process all documentation to credential providers with health care facilities.
  • Helps maintain all contracts in a company contract management software.•Ad-hoc projects as needed.

  • Solves practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Handles sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Takes initiative, work independently, multi task, and prioritize, with little or no supervision.
  • Adapts to change and new processes as necessary for continuous process improvement.
  • Works professionally with multiple levels of management and promote co-operation among departments, teams, and staff.
  • Ensures proper indexing and filing of original legal documents. Must maintain very organized records or files.
  • Researches and analyze law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes.
  • Reads and interprets policies and answer questions for internal and external customers.
  • Serves as a Back-up to Executive Assistant and/or Financial Analyst.
  • Completes projects on a timely basis and follows up on results as needed.
  • Proactively prepares reports by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Attends various meetings as requested.
  • Maintains your required licenses, certifications and mandatory skill updates.
  • Complies with all policies, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Provides other duties of healthcare team member.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250+ pounds, walk, climb stair or ladders, stand on feet for extended periods of time, etc.

Requirements

Knowledge & Experience Requirements

•Associates' Degree from accredited university preferred or equivalent work experience

•Knowledge and work history with commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within standardized contracts.

•Experience with contracts and provider credentialing is preferred.

•Computer literacy required with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

•Must have knowledge of computer office/clinical software

•Must be able to effectively read, write and understand the English language

•Must be able to provide own transportation to various locations in service areas, as required by duties
