Aerospace Manufacturing Sales Representative

Position Summary:

The Aerospace Manufacturing Sales Representative serves as a primary point of contact for customers and supports the day-to-day administration of aerospace component, repair, and machined-product orders. This position coordinates closely with Sales, Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to provide timely and accurate information, process customer requirements, monitor orders, and help ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. The role requires strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced aerospace environment.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers, providing professional and responsive support by telephone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Receive, review, enter, and maintain customer purchase orders, repair orders, and related information in the company ERP or other applicable systems.
  • Review customer orders for required information, pricing, quantities, part numbers, delivery requirements, shipping instructions, and other commercial terms; coordinate resolution of discrepancies as needed.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, lead times, delivery dates, quotations, repair status, documentation, and general product or service information.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Shipping to obtain accurate order information and communicate updates to customers.
  • Monitor open orders and proactively follow up on potential delays, changing requirements, or other issues that may affect customer commitments.
  • Communicate schedule changes, delivery updates, and other relevant information to customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with requests for quotation (RFQs), pricing inquiries, order acknowledgments, and other sales or customer-service documentation as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate customer account information, order notes, correspondence, and supporting documentation in company systems.
  • Coordinate customer requests involving certifications, traceability, shipping documentation, quality records, or other required aerospace documentation with the appropriate internal departments.
  • Assist in resolving customer concerns, returns, discrepancies, warranty matters, or service issues by coordinating with the appropriate internal teams and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Build positive working relationships with customers and support customer retention through consistent communication, follow-through, and service.
  • Support invoicing, shipment coordination, account follow-up, and other administrative activities related to customer orders as needed.
  • Comply with company policies, applicable export-control requirements, quality procedures, customer requirements, and ethical business practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business and operational needs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, aviation, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous customer service, sales support, order management, account coordination, or related experience required; aerospace, aviation, MRO, machining, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional customer-service approach.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple orders, customers, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Ability to read and understand purchase orders, part numbers, pricing, delivery requirements, and other customer documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn ERP, CRM, and other company systems.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle customer and company information appropriately.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting commercial aviation, aerospace, aircraft component, repair station, or precision-machining customers.
  • Experience with aerospace purchase orders, RFQs, quotations, repair orders, lead times, shipping, and customer documentation.
  • Familiarity with FAA repair station operations, AS9100 or similar aerospace quality systems, and aviation traceability requirements.
  • Experience using ERP and/or CRM systems for order entry, customer account management, and order tracking.
