Terra Green is a full-service landscape company that is driven by its mission and core values. In order to better fulfill their mission, the company is in search of a highly motivated worker interested in being a vital part of the Landscape Maintenance Team. As a Landscape Maintenance Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a certain amount of landscape maintenance crews, ensuring that our clients' properties are maintained to the highest standards and in a safe manner.
- Develop and execute daily/weekly operations schedules, workflows, and operational infrastructure (people, programs, processes) to hit company goals and financial targets.
- Lead daily supervisor briefings on operational priorities, customer service issues, and corrective actions.
- Prepare updates and actively participate in management staff meetings and problem-solving sessions.
- Oversee winter weather response, assisting with snow and ice removal as needed.
- Train and mentor technicians, assistant supervisors, and supervisors through goal-setting, performance reviews, and continuous feedback.
- Conduct, develop, and participate in regular safety sessions and technical certification training.
- Support the college relations program by assisting with internships, job shadowing, and field trips.
- Perform regular site visits to evaluate work quality, identify potential issues, and coach crews on-site.
- Utilize company customer service and operations software to streamline communication, analyze performance data, and implement continuous improvements.
- Review and approve daily employee time tracking, analyzing labor data to identify operational trends and labor savings.
- Oversee weekly inventories and daily maintenance of assigned vehicles and equipment to ensure cleanliness, organization, security, and proper working condition.
Requirements
- Demonstrated skill and ability managing others at other levels.
- At least one-year experience doing contract maintenance work in a commercial setting as a supervisor.
- 2 or 4 year horticultural or related degree and two years industry experience. Additional industry experience or industry certifications can substitute for non-related degree, two-year degree or no degree.
- Ability to identify and diagnose insect and disease problems and schedule appropriate treatment.
- Working knowledge of vehicles and equipment used in contract maintenance and snow removal.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record over the last three years.
