Hana Engineers and Consultants, LLC is seeking to hire a full-time Leasing, Facilities, and Property Manager to support Hana’s project with the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) and other future projects in both federal government and commercial sectors. The Leasing, Facilities, and Property Manager is a project manager focused on the operation, control, maintenance, and oversight of real estate and day-to-day facilities management.
Location: This position is full-time on-site at PBGC headquarters located at 445 12th Street SW, Washington, DC 20554.
Core Roles/Responsibilities:
- Supports decommissioning, administration, and management and disposal of leased property, which requires a knowledge of real estate laws, principles, practices, and markets (preferably federal government leasing experience).
- Assists with all real estate transactions from acquisition through the disposal process.
- Performs work related to long- and short-range planning by identifying space and property needs, analyzing alternative strategies for meeting those needs, and recommending appropriate methods of acquisition, including developing comprehensive plans.
- Conducts analysis of all leasing costs and develops associated phasing plans, budget plans, and schedules.
- Assists with developing SOPs and analyzing facility operations reports.
- Review lease costs and maintenance agreements and understand operating expenses and real estate taxes.
- Assess year-end financial reconciliations, recommend financial internal controls, and provide recommendations for effective facility operations and lease administration.
- Perform work related to planning that includes coordinating the preparation of technical planning documents and reports, real estate maps, and developing detailed scopes of work to contract goods and services.
- Analyze agency long-and short-range needs against available space to optimize allocation and configuration changes.
- Ensure compliance with lease specifications, environmental or regulatory requirements, and other contractual terms and conditions.
- Experience using IWMS/CAFM tools as well as MS Office and MS Teams software.
- Process monthly GSA Financial transaction with PBGC (IPAC’s) and track facilities expenditure.
- Manage lease financials and create a flow chart to capture existing processes and provide feedback to improve them.
- Oversee the maintenance ticketing system and follow up with the building management.
- Capture meeting minutes/draft agenda for the GSA meetings and other high-level meetings.
- Create Project Management Plan for decommissioning tasks.
- Create Project schedules and coordinate with all stakeholders.
- Create Storage Plan by assessing storage needs, selecting the right storage solution and maximize storage space.
- Create and analyze Space Utilization Report for the agency.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of leasing, facility, and property management experience.
- Bachelor’s in business management, facilities management, or similar.
Preferred Qualification:
- U.S. Government leasing experience.
