Job Summary
As an Engineer III (EIT) you will work under general supervision by assisting with engineering water system design during all phases of multiple, simultaneous projects by performing design calculations, specifications, interpreting and preparing reports, applying techniques and procedures, preparing cost estimates, impact studies, permits and designs/deliverable drawings.

LAN is looking to add an Engineer III to our team in Fort Worth! We are seeking an experienced water/wastewater EIT that is interested in scaling up their career by mentoring staff, handling projects from start to completion, and facilitating client communication/meetings.
Job Responsibilities
- Manages and perform system design, including calculations, equipment selection, layout, and drawing preparation.
- Develops and reviews project documents, specifications, and design options; ensures code compliance through meetings and reviews.
- Conduct site investigations and technical research to support design decisions.
- Coordinates with technicians and staff; assign tasks and checks work for accuracy.
- Apply standard engineering practices and software tools to produce high-quality deliverables.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of relevant codes and design standards.
- Build and develop internal and external relationships
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 3 years’ experience working on water/wastewater, municipal or conveyance style projects
- Engineer-in-Training/Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT)
- Experienced with industry-standard software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil3D)
Preferred Education & Experience
- Solid command of core engineering principles with the ability to apply them to real-world, multidisciplinary projects.
- Proficient in problem-solving
- Preferred experience in additional software tools (e.g., XPSWMM)
- Competent in data interpretation and statistical analysis
- Working knowledge of project management fundamentals
- Demonstrate critical thinking and sound engineering judgement
- Detail-oriented and quality focused
- Effective communicator
