The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue by generating leads, booking convention and meeting business, and establishing long-term relationships with clients. This position involves selling and promoting the hotel’s 372 guest rooms, extensive meeting spaces, family entertainment center, and amusement park for conventions, corporate meetings, and special events. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong communication and negotiation skills, and a passion for hospitality.

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement       effective sales strategies to attract corporate, convention, and group business       for meetings, events, and conventions.
    • Collaborate with the Regional       Director of Sales to identify new opportunities and optimize revenue       generation across multiple segments, including meetings, conventions,       family events, and more.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate strong, ongoing       relationships with current and prospective clients, including convention       planners, corporate clients, event organizers, and industry partners.
    • Respond promptly to client       inquiries, provide custom event solutions, and ensure seamless execution       of events from initial inquiry through to post-event follow-up.
  • Sales & Event Coordination:
    • Lead the planning and       coordination of all convention, meeting, and group events, ensuring the       hotel’s facilities, family entertainment center, and amusement park are       effectively utilized.
    • Create tailored proposals and       negotiate contracts that meet client needs and maximize revenue.
    • Ensure that all events are       executed successfully and that client expectations are exceeded.
  • Market Research & Analysis:
    • Monitor market trends,       competitor offerings, and guest feedback to adjust sales strategies and       identify new business opportunities.
    • Analyze booking patterns,       pricing trends, and client preferences to continuously improve sales and       revenue outcomes.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the hotel’s       operations, catering, and event teams to ensure the smooth execution of       each event.
    • Communicate client       requirements and expectations to all relevant departments and provide       support as needed.
  • Revenue Generation:
    • Meet or exceed annual sales       targets and KPIs for convention, meeting, and group business.
    • Maximize revenue opportunities       through upselling of hotel rooms, event services, and the family       entertainment center and amusement park attractions.
  • Marketing & Promotion:
    • Collaborate with the marketing       team to develop promotional materials, sales collateral, and digital       campaigns to attract convention and group business.
    • Participate in local industry       trade shows, networking events, and conferences to generate new leads and       enhance brand awareness.
Requirements

  

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    • Minimum 3-5 years of       experience in hotel sales, event planning, or convention sales, with a       strong understanding of the hospitality industry.
    • Experience in managing corporate       events, conventions, and group bookings.
    • Familiarity with hotel booking       systems, CRM software, and event management platforms.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong interpersonal and       communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate       effectively.
    • Proven ability to develop and       implement successful sales strategies.
    • Detail-oriented with excellent       organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • High level of customer service       orientation, ensuring client satisfaction at all stages of the sales       process.
    • Ability to work independently       and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Creative problem-solving and       decision-making skills.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Availability to attend client       meetings, events, and site inspections outside regular office hours, as       needed.
    • Ability to travel occasionally       for networking events client site visits.
