Job Functions:
The Manager, Innovation & Data Analytics supports organizational priorities by advancing data-informed decision-making, performance measurement, process improvement, reporting governance, and continuous improvement efforts. Partnering with leaders across departments, this role develops meaningful performance measures, reporting solutions, workflow improvements, and actionable insights that help monitor progress, improve outcomes, strengthen service delivery, and increase organizational effectiveness. This position supports the Sr. Director of Program Innovation in advancing strategic initiatives, translating business needs into practical data and process solutions, and ensuring the effective collection, analysis, interpretation, documentation, and reporting of program and operational data.
Essential Responsibilities:
Performance Analytics & Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and summarize program, operational, and organizational data to support performance monitoring, strategic planning, and continuous improvement.
- Develop, validate, automate, and maintain organizational performance measures, reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that provide timely, accurate, and meaningful insights. Refresh and update dashboards as proscribed by SOPs.
- Collaborate with program and organizational leaders to establish meaningful performance measures, data collection processes, and reporting structures. Translate stakeholder needs into clear reporting requirements, analytic questions, and decision-support tools that help leaders understand performance, identify trends, and prioritize action.
- Provide technical assistance and feedback to teams to support accurate data collection, data quality practices, and actionable reporting.
Data Quality, Governance & Organizational Knowledge
- Follow data quality standards, validation processes, and reporting procedures to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of organizational data.
- Support reporting governance by maintaining KPI definitions, data dictionaries, report documentation, dashboard standards, and version control practices as directed.
- Develop and maintain documentation for reporting processes, data standards, performance measures, workflows, and SOPs, ensuring resources remain current and aligned with organizational practices as assigned.
- Promote responsible data practices, including appropriate access, privacy, confidentiality, ethical use of automation and AI, and secure handling of client, donor, staff, program, and operational data.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the organization’s programs, services, client populations, outcomes, supporting systems, technologies, and operational processes.
- Apply organizational knowledge to ensure performance measurement, reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement efforts support organizational goals and service delivery.
Process Improvement & Implementation Support
- Support strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives that advance organizational priorities, long-term goals, and measurable improvements in performance, efficiency, and service delivery.
- Facilitate workflow assessments, process mapping, gap analyses, and current-state/future-state planning to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, handoff gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Support Senior Director, Program Innovation as assigned to translate improvement opportunities into practical implementation plans, including timelines, roles, documentation, training needs, communication steps, and success indicators.
- Support adoption of new tools, dashboards, automations, AI-enabled solutions, and standardized processes through user guidance, training materials, feedback collection, and continuous refinement.
- Meet personal goals and actively contribute to the achievement of team and organizational targets/goals as stated on the KPI and in the annual plan. Attend required staff meetings and on-going trainings. Complete other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Project Management, Public Administration, Information Systems, Analytics, Data Science, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in data analytics, performance management, organizational reporting, strategic initiatives, project coordination, process improvement, business analysis, or related disciplines. Demonstrated experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into data, reporting, workflow, and implementation solutions that support organizational priorities and drive measurable results. Experience working with reporting platforms, business intelligence tools, automations, APIs, and data management systems to collect, validate, analyze, and present organizational data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement. Experience supporting change management, process redesign, documentation, user training, organizational effectiveness, or continuous improvement initiatives preferred.

Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, document, and manage multiple projects, workstreams, and deadlines effectively. Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis, querying, reporting, dashboard development, data integration, automation, API utilization, performance measurement, data governance, data security, and reporting standards. Ability to conduct workflow assessments, process mapping, gap analyses, requirements gathering, and implementation planning. Advanced computer skills, including the ability to learn, utilize, and troubleshoot software applications, reporting platforms, and data management tools. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Power BI, Outlook, and other reporting, data visualization, and business intelligence tools. Ability to translate complex data, technical concepts, and process issues into clear, practical, and actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, consistency, privacy, confidentiality, and integrity. Solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement, support adoption of new tools and workflows, and recommend practical solutions. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally and with discretion.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, communicate verbally and in writing, and use a computer and standard office equipment for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift or move standard office materials as needed.
