Location: Longleaf Restaurant - 1345 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta GA 30309
Please park in the garage and make your way to the Garden entrance. Upon arrival, check in at the Hardin Visitor Center, where you will be directed to Longleaf Restaurant. Parking will be validated for Job Fair attendees.

Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to engage with guests and ensure they have an excellent dining experience. Servers are responsible for fostering positive guest interactions while delivering service in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to guest needs and create an environment where guests feel welcome, comfortable, and relaxed. Servers should also maintain a strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Stay updated on current food and drink menu
- Take reservations, when necessary, direct customers to their tables, presenting menus, suggesting food and beverage items, informing guest about food preparation details, communicating any allergy or other specifications to chef team
- Maintain proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses offering desserts and coffee, removing courses
- Always using a tray in dining room for glassware or any item smaller than your hands
- Properly opening and pouring wine tableside
- Process credit card payments
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
- Fill in for absent staff as needed
- Assist with special events as needed
- Greet all guests that enter the restaurant warmly with an appropriate greeting
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
- Understand and communicate events and services available at the Garden
- One year of server experience in high volume restaurant required
- Excellent multitasking skills
- Excellent oral communication skills required
- Positive interpersonal skills required
- Must be punctual
- Must be available to work for days a week
- Weekend availability is required
- Basic understanding of allergy and dietary needs and descriptions
- Basic knowledge with wine products is a plus
Physical requirements
- Will walk for long periods of time, possibly extended distances
- Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs
Working conditions
- Indoor and Outdoor dining events
- Varying schedule to include evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as business dictates
