The National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) is a nonprofit membership association organized by and on behalf of our member institutions and is the oldest and largest varsity collegiate esports organization in North America.
Job Summary
This is a part-time, temporary/seasonal position assisting NACE membership with operations on the day of the NACE competition, including playoffs and national championships. We are looking for professionals with a passion for esports, the esports community, and video games who are interested in working in a fast-paced environment.
Expected tasks:
- Assist with operations on the day of a NACE registration and competition
- Carry out and administer tournament rules and regulations
- Provide membership with technical support and resources necessary to engage in their competitions
- Provide communications between the NACE membership and the Director of Competition
- Oversee the competition platform and assist users in doing so, as needed
- Work as game lead for one of the following titles (League of Legends, Overwatch, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Valorant, Call of Duty, Rocket League, Marvel Rivals
- Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, online chat (i.e. Discord and competitive platform), and social media during event
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our product by providing feedback on operations
Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in tournament operations
- Professional experience with competitive gaming and tournaments preferred
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and able to multitask effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Discord, Twitch, and online competitive platforms
- Work independently on tasks, and collaborate with the team
- May be asked to travel for events as needed.
