The Assembly Technician (Electrical) is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical components and systems used in the manufacturing of plastic products and equipment. This position works from work instructions, drawings, schematics, and other documentation to ensure products are assembled accurately and meet quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical components, panels, control boxes, and related equipment according to work instructions and engineering drawings. 
• Perform basic electrical wiring, including routing, terminating, labeling, and connecting wires and components. 
• Read and interpret assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, schematics, and bill of materials. 
• Install electrical components onto plastic equipment and assemblies. 
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment safely and properly. 
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications. 
• Perform basic functional testing and troubleshooting of electrical assemblies. 
• Identify and report damaged materials, incorrect components, quality concerns, or assembly issues to the supervisor. 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. 
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality requirements. 
• Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments as needed. 
• Assist with other assembly and manufacturing duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred. 
• Previous manufacturing, assembly, or electrical assembly experience preferred. 
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring and components preferred. 
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and wiring diagrams. 
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. 
• Ability to lift and move materials up to [50] pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. 
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
