Senior FP&A Analyst

Full-time
Description

**This is a hybrid position that will be onsite 2-3 times per week. Only considering candidates local to the Greater Nashville area at this time.**

Position Summary

Psychiatric Medical Care (PMC) is seeking a highly analytical, collaborative, and business-minded FP&A Analyst to support financial planning, performance analysis, forecasting, and operational decision-making across the organization.

PMC is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed behavioral healthcare company investing in the people, processes, systems, data infrastructure, and AI-enabled tools needed to support its next stage of growth.

This role will work closely with Finance and Operations to understand business performance, identify trends and opportunities, and translate financial and operational data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate enjoys digging into the numbers, understanding what drives performance, and helping leaders make better-informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Operations and Finance leaders to evaluate performance, identify key business drivers, and recommend opportunities to improve growth and profitability.
  • Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, staffing, productivity, volume, budget performance, and other key financial and operational metrics.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial planning by connecting financial results to operational drivers and business assumptions.
  • Build and maintain financial models supporting forecasting, scenario analysis, growth planning, and operational decision-making.
  • Review actual results, identify trends and variances, and clearly communicate the underlying drivers.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and recurring analyses that improve leadership visibility into business performance.
  • Translate complex financial and operational information into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and Data teams to improve reporting accuracy, data quality, and access to meaningful business intelligence.
  • Support the development of data lake and analytics capabilities across the organization.
  • Identify and implement practical uses of AI and automation to improve financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and insight generation.
  • Evaluate growth opportunities, risks, and performance trends to support strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Perform ad hoc financial and business analyses in support of leadership priorities and company-wide initiatives.

What You'll Help Build

This role will have the opportunity to help strengthen and develop:

  • Scalable financial and operational reporting
  • KPI dashboards and performance scorecards
  • Budgeting and forecasting tools
  • Growth and profitability models
  • Data-driven business reviews
  • Data lake-enabled financial reporting
  • AI-enabled finance and analytics workflows
  • Stronger connectivity between Finance and Operations
  • Processes that improve financial visibility, accountability, and decision-making as PMC continues to scale

Work Environment

  • PMC offers a collaborative, fast-paced environment where Finance plays an active role in supporting operational performance and organizational growth. The FP&A Analyst will work closely with Finance, Operations, Data, and senior leadership to improve visibility, strengthen decision-making, and help build the financial infrastructure needed to support PMC's continued expansion.

Requirements

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, financial analysis, business analysis, or another data-driven analytical role.
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and operational data and translate findings into practical business recommendations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to understand the broader business picture.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with operational and financial stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing organization where priorities and processes continue to evolve.

Preferred

  • Experience with ERP, budgeting, BI, reporting, data visualization, automation, or AI-enabled analytics tools.
  • Experience improving reporting infrastructure, data quality, or analytics capabilities.
  • Experience within a private equity-backed, high-growth, or multi-site organization.
  • Healthcare, multi-site operations, or professional services experience.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will be curious, analytical, collaborative, and comfortable challenging assumptions. You enjoy understanding not only what the numbers say, but why they are moving and what the business should do about it.

You are comfortable partnering directly with Operations, asking thoughtful questions, bringing structure to complex problems, and communicating financial information in a way that business leaders can easily understand and act upon.

You'll thrive in this role if you're excited by the opportunity to help build—not simply inherit—better financial models, reporting processes, analytics capabilities, and AI-enabled tools within a growing organization.
