Job Summary:
The GOFCC Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce by supporting day-to-day operations, coordinating community events and programs, and providing exceptional member service. This is a primarily in-office, administrative role: while much of the GOFCC team works out in the community, this position is based in the office and centers on member renewals and records in Salesforce, calendar management for the Executive Director, and other support services for the team. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Hourly Rate: $19-$21 per hour
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)
Member Services:
- Maintain and update the member database in Salesforce to ensure accurate and current information.
- Serve as the first point of contact in office for visitors, members, and prospective members, providing professional and courteous customer service.
- Address and resolve member and non-member inquiries, providing prompt support both in office and via phone.
- Represent the organization at scheduled events, ensuring a positive experience for members and attendees.
- Coordinate new member onboarding and renewal processing in Salesforce to ensure a positive member experience, providing chamber resources and information in a timely manner.
Administrative Duties:
- Perform daily administrative tasks, including call management, email coordination, and office supply maintenance.
- Handle financial transactions, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections on outstanding member dues and program fees.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and reports as needed.
- Handle the outreach, leadership calendar management, scheduling, and physical set up for meetings.
- Maintain accurate member/ program records and documentation systems including program tracking for GOFCC initiatives, the Employee Discount Key Tag Program, Farmers Markets, and Project Bloom.
- Assist with preparing reports related to member engagement and GOFCC programs as requested.
- Run engagement reports from Salesforce upon request.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the Executive Director.
Events Support:
- Provide essential support for GOFCC Anchor Events and other organizational activities.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing GOFCC community and networking events.
- Coordinate scheduling for Ambassador ribbon cuttings, milestone celebrations, and related Chamber events.
- Support event logistics, including setup, execution, and teardown.
- Staff GOFCC Farmers Markets as needed (Oswego Thursday evenings and Fulton Saturday mornings), assisting with vendor check-in, SNAP/ EBT transactions and FreshConnect Check distribution, customer service, market logistics, and compliance with Farmers Market Federation guidelines.
Communication Support:
- Assist with routine website and social media updates related to GOFCC programs, ribbon cuttings, member announcements, and the Employee Discount Key Tag Program.
- Assist in preparing the bi-weekly newsletter by compiling GOFCC news, events, and relevant member announcements.
- Coordinate the GOFCC Employee Discount Key Tag Program, including recruiting and onboarding participating businesses, maintaining program communications and promotional materials, and serving as the primary point of contact for participating employers and businesses.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, primarily in-office position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., but can be flexible as agreed to by the leadership of the GOFCC. While much of the GOFCC team works out in the community, this role is based in the office. Evening and weekend hours are limited and predictable: Thursday evenings for the Oswego
Farmers Market (as needed), Saturday mornings for the Fulton Farmers Market (as needed), and occasional after-hours event support (typically no more than once per month).
Travel
No out of market travel is expected for this position. Local travel within the Oswego-Fulton service area — to Farmers Markets, ribbon cuttings, and community events — is expected and required.
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a professional office setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
- Working knowledge of general office equipment.
Special Requirements:
Valid NYS driver’s license. Reliable transportation for travel to various events and meetings.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Work Environment:
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors for the duration of the market
- Ability to lift, carry and move approximately 25–40 lbs as required for market setup and breakdown.
- Ability to safely push, pull, lift and maneuver market equipment over outdoor and potentially uneven surfaces.
- Ability to bend, reach, walk and perform tasks associated with market setup, operations and cleanup.
