Description

Summary:

The Production Analyst Clerk supports accurate tracking, reporting, and analysis of oil and gas production data. This role ensures production volumes, revenues, and operational data are recorded, verified, and reported in a timely manner to support business decisions and regulatory compliance.


Requirements

Essential Duties:

           • Collect, enter, and validate daily, monthly, and annual production data (oil, gas, and water volumes). 

            • Maintain and update production databases and reporting systems. 

            • Assist in preparing production reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies. 

            • Reconcile production volumes with field reports, run tickets, and third-party statements. 

            • Monitor and report discrepancies in production data and assist in resolving issues. 

            • Support revenue tracking by coordinating with accounting and marketing teams.

            • Maintain organized records of production data, contracts, and well information. 

            • Assist with audits by providing accurate documentation and data support. 

            • Generate routine and ad hoc reports using Excel or production software. 

            • Communicate with field personnel, engineers, and vendors to gather necessary data.


Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred (business, accounting, or energy-related field).


Experience:

1–3 years of administrative, data entry, or oil & gas experience preferred.


Location:

Killam Oil and Gas., Ltd is located Laredo, Texas; this is an in office position based at our office in Laredo, all applicants will be required to relocate, if necessary.


Skills:

Must have the following skills and/or abilities:

Basic understanding of oil and gas production operations is a plus 

         • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 

         • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas preferred). 

         • Experience with production software (e.g., W-Energy and Field Insights) is a plus. 

         • Strong organizational and time management skills. 

         • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

         • Data analysis and reconciliation. 

         • Communication and coordination.

         • Problem-solving. 

         • Time management. 

         • Basic accounting principles preferred. 


Licenses/Certifications:

Must have a current valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. 


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to perform the following physical activity on a frequent to constant basis:

  • Sit for long periods of time.
  • Lift 10–20 lbs. of files, plans, office supplies, or similar items. 
  • Constantly uses fingers and hands when dialing/answering the telephone and operating a computer or other office machinery, such as a copy machine, scanner, and computer printer.
  • Ability to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information through verbal communications in person or detect objects in and around job site over the telephone.
  • Average, ordinary visual acuity is necessary to prepare or inspect documents; operate a computer or other office machinery; or.
  • Walk short distances on slippery, even, and/or uneven surfaces.
  • Stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, turn, or crawl.


Working Conditions:

  • Majority of work is performed in an office atmosphere located inside a building, with building inspections as needed.
