Service Territory: This community-based position serves clients throughout Metro Detroit, primarily in Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne counties. Local travel within the assigned territory is required. Travel time between client locations is paid, and mileage is reimbursed according to Galaxy’s current reimbursement policy. Caseloads and schedules are coordinated with consideration for geographic location whenever possible.

As an occupational therapist at Galaxy, you will support individuals affected by brain injury as they work toward greater independence, participation, and quality of life. Services are provided in clients’ homes and communities, allowing therapy to address the real-world activities, environments, and challenges that matter most to each person.

You may work with clients at different stages of their rehabilitation journey—from focused, short-term interventions to ongoing support. Through individualized treatment, practical strategies, and collaboration with clients, families, and other members of the care team, you will help clients pursue meaningful goals and participate more fully in their daily lives.

• Valid driver's license for community-based treatment, dependable personal vehicle with current auto insurance policy.
• Valid Occupational Therapy license in the State of Michigan.
• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Experience in neurological rehabilitation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Embrace and demonstrate the center's values: building trusting relationships, empowering positive change, and contributing positively to the community.
• Must be eligible to treat clients with Medicare and commercial insurance.
• Compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations.
