Position: Corporate Development Associate

Duration: Full-Time
Salary: $100,000–$130,000 annually + 15%–35% annual performance-based bonus
Filterbuy, a leader in the air quality and manufacturing world, is seeking a Corporate Development Associate to support the company’s add-on acquisition growth strategy. This position will play a key role in building a pipeline of acquisition targets, conducting financial and operational analysis, developing industry relationships, and supporting transaction due diligence from initial screening through close.
This role will report to the Head of Corporate Development and will be based in Atlanta, GA, with approximately 60% travel.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Partner with Corporate Development and business leaders to identify and develop acquisition opportunities.
- Support direct sourcing through market research, industry mapping, outreach, conferences, and relationships across the organization.
- Evaluate inbound opportunities from brokers, investment banks, business leaders, and other sources.
- Develop market and competitive intelligence to assess potential targets and strategic growth opportunities.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and association events to build relationships and identify acquisition prospects.
- Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with business owners, brokers, investment bankers, and other industry intermediaries.
- Professionally represent Filterbuy Ventures in the market and help establish the organization as a buyer of choice.
- Develop working knowledge of the HVAC and air filtration industry, including key players, competitive dynamics, and deal activity.
- Lead and perform deal-related financial and operational analysis, including financial modeling and due diligence review.
- Develop in-depth investment memorandums and present acquisition rationale to senior management.
- Generate scorecards evaluating acquisition opportunities and clearly summarize findings for the executive team.
- Support additional value-added activities and operational excellence initiatives across the Corporate Development function.
- Maintain honest and ethical conduct in all internal and external interactions.
Required skills and qualifications:
- 3–4+ years of experience in corporate development, deal origination, sourcing, or M&A process execution within a company, investment bank, private equity firm, or transaction advisory practice.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another business-related field.
- Strong background in finance and accounting, valuation, and business strategy through professional experience and/or academic coursework.
- Strong desire and ability to learn and execute the deal process from initial screening through close.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to confidently interact with business owners, brokers, investment bankers, and other industry intermediaries.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with an appropriate sense of urgency.
- Ability to work autonomously in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment.
- Strong work ethic and desire to grow within a high-performing team.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 60% of the time.
