This position is responsible for generating new business, developing strong client relationships, and maximizing hotel revenue through group sales, meetings, catering, business travel, leisure, and other assigned market segments. Schedule
- Monday–Friday during traditional business hours
- Nights and weekends required as business needs dictate
- Work approximately 10 days per pay period, averaging 45 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
- Solicit and secure new accounts while maintaining and growing existing client relationships.
- Generate hotel revenue by coordinating group room blocks, meeting space, and catering opportunities with individuals and corporations.
- Manage the sales process from initial contact through contract negotiation and event execution.
- Negotiate contracts and vendor service agreements while protecting the interests of the hotel.
- Consistently achieve assigned sales, revenue, and solicitation goals.
- Conduct proactive sales calls, sales tours, site visits, networking activities, and client entertainment.
- Develop business within assigned market segments, including Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel (BT), and Groups, as applicable.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts to encourage repeat and increased business.
- Develop and deliver accurate banquet event orders and event resumes in a timely manner, generally within 14 days of the event.
- Complete monthly proactive sales activities, including:
- sales calls
- targeted prospecting calls
- site visits and/or networking activities
- Identify and develop new markets and business opportunities for the hotel.
- Create and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies designed to increase revenue and market share.
- Monitor competitive activity and maintain current competitive analysis and statistical information.
- Maintain accurate records and files for company accounts and complete required sales reports.
- Work closely with in-house meeting planners to promote goodwill and generate additional and repeat business.
- Maintain a strong presence in the local community and participate in industry organizations and networking opportunities as appropriate.
- Develop and execute special promotions and direct-sales initiatives, including sales blitzes.
- Prepare sales reports, including Sales Call Reports and Internal Sales Reports, as requested.
- Attend daily, weekly, and monthly department meetings, as well as other meetings and functions required by management.
- Communicate changes and important client/event information promptly to the appropriate departments and operational leaders.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of hotel operations, services, amenities, and departmental policies.
- Provide professional, courteous, and responsive customer service to guests, clients, and team members at all times.
- Approach every interaction with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager or Director of Sales.
