Purpose of Position:
The Production Supervisor leads egg grading operations by leading, caring for, and developing their team while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production in alignment with Westfield Egg Farm’s purpose and core values. This role leads the production team, executes production plans, maintains compliance with SOPs and SQF standards, coordinates transitions, minimizes downtime, and ensures accurate production reporting.

Essential Duties:
- Lead, care for, and develop team members by providing clear direction, support, coaching, and feedback.
- Build a positive team environment where team members are equipped and encouraged to perform their roles effectively and achieve efficient operations.
- Execute production plans built by the Westfield planner. Assist in planning as needed.
- Manage production efficiency to minimize downtime.
- Address performance, conduct, and team concerns promptly and appropriately, seeking support when needed.
- Prepare grader and facility for production.
- Retrieve supplies as needed for production.
- Ensure product is being graded following SOPs and SQF requirements.
- Oversee that grade outs represent actual production.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
- Regular work hours are Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 5 PM, or during grading hours.
- Occasional Saturdays may be required for maintenance, repairs, or grading.
- Must be present during grading hours unless prior arrangements are made.
- Flexibility with breaks and meals is required to allow for equipment maintenance when grading is not in progress.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- 1–3 years of related experience and/or training.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel and data entry.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance instructions, standard operating procedures, and other technical documents.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence clearly and accurately.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey production plans to both English- and Spanish-speaking team members.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including discounts, interest, and percentages, and to apply basic algebra concepts using Excel.
- Skilled in summarizing and organizing large volumes of data.

Physical Requirements / Environmental Conditions:
This position requires frequent standing and movement throughout the facility, with occasional walking, climbing stairs or ladders, reaching, handling objects, and communicating. Sitting may be required at times. Employees must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly. Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus. The work environment may involve occasional exposure to airborne particles, chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, moving machinery, vibration, and temperature extremes. Noise levels typically range from moderate to loud.
