Position Summary
The Production Assistant is responsible for coordinating a wide range of daily administrative duties for farm operations. This position interacts and supports activities for farm services, food safety, accounting, and human resources departments. The role is essential to support organizational goals and model best practices, guided by our values of Excellence, Accountability, Transparency and Stewardship (EATS).
Requirements
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Calibrates with FLC and external teams regarding production tracking, i.e., harvest, pruning, etc.
- Verifies coding for invoicing in Open Invoice.
- Tracks harvest costs by block and variety daily.
- Reconciles shipping receipts from cooler to receiving reports at packing house.
- Partners with farm management regarding food safety documentation.
- Contacts vendors and provides additional support to Farm Manager.
- Updates and maintains farm maps.
- Reviews coding, and entry of invoices for processing.
- Reviews and balances timecards before sending report to Payroll Department.
- Partners with FLC’s on assuring all contract paperwork is current and complete.
- Reviews and verifies FLC billing balances with timecards.
- Answers telephone takes messages and directs calls to the appropriate department.
- Processes and directs incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Partners with HR on coordination of events and required documentation, i.e., new hire orientation, employee changes, trainings, separation, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of accounts payables and receivables.
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
- Knowledge of creating Excel spreadsheets with formulas to analyze data.
- Ability to answer, screen and direct phone calls to the appropriate department.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize duties and manage time appropriately.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in customer service and/or administrative role.
- Proficient level computer skills with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Administrative experience in farming.
- Famous software experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to the Company’s insurance carrier
- Bilingual verbal and written English/Spanish.
Salary Description
$19 to $25 / hour DOE
