This role is responsible for attracting prospective members across Copper State CU’s markets and driving sustainable member growth through strategic, data-driven marketing campaigns.
The Marketing Specialist II - Member Acquisition, leads the planning, execution, and optimization of member acquisition campaigns that promote the credit union’s value proposition, focusing on full-service relationships, consumer lending, and real estate lending. This position plays a key role in driving membership and product conversions in branch, digitally and over the phone.
- 60% Member acquisition strategy, campaign planning, and execution aligned to organizational growth goals
- Plan, develop, and execute integrated marketing campaigns designed to acquire new members, both consumer and business.
- Coordinate media planning and buying across traditional and digital channels in partnership with the Marketing team to maximize reach and ROI.
- Promote, fulfill and report on member referral program bonuses as it relates to our member acquisition strategy
- Develop and refine target audiences, segmentation strategies, and messaging based on member data, market insights, geographic considerations, and campaign performance.
- Leverage marketing automation, CRM, and digital platforms to build, deploy, and optimize acquisition campaigns across email, paid digital, web pages, and lead capture tools.
- Cross-functional collaboration with marketing, lending, and branch teams to support growth initiatives
- Ensure all acquisition campaigns and materials align with Copper State Credit Union brand standards and comply with regulatory, compliance, and disclosure requirements.
- 30% Digital-first acquisition including social media management
- Curate and execute a social media content plan that reflects the brand voice and optimizes social performance by increasing follower count and engagement rates.
- Create and publish content which includes but is not limited to: static posts, events, reels, giveaways, stories, live events and financial education-related posts on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn and YouTube.
- 10% Performance measurement, reporting, and optimization to improve conversion, cost efficiency, and acquisition effectiveness
- Monitor and analyze acquisition performance metrics including new accounts, funded accounts, conversion rates, cost per acquisition, referral retention and return on investment; provide insights and recommendations to improve results.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics including follower growth, engagement rate, views, penetration across channels, and audience; adjust social media outreach to improve results.
Other Functions
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with budget guidelines.
- Keep all credit union member and employee related business in strictest confidence.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Credit Union Policies and perform duties in compliance with all policies, laws and regulations which apply to position.
- Understand and be accountable for executing all job functions in a way that is consistent with all requirements of BSA, OFAC and the USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Act (CIP). Note: Failure to comply with requirements may be subject to strong disciplinary action, up to and including termination by the credit union, as well as civil and criminal penalties.
- Advise management of unusual events or circumstances that pertain to the Credit Union, either problems that need to be addressed or opportunities for improvement.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
- 2+ years of progressive credit union marketing experience with a strong focus on member or customer acquisition, performance marketing, or growth marketing required.
- Requires 4 years of college, or equivalent education and work experience.
- Proven experience developing and executing multi-channel acquisition campaigns that drive measurable results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, paid digital advertising, and web optimization tools preferred.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and present strategies and results effectively.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, make timely decisions, and work within established policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of credit union products and services required.
- Proficiency in PC applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required; experience with digital analytics and reporting tools preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
