Safeguard Industries is seeking a Regional Sales Manager who is responsible for building the growth of business within their scope of focus and territory.  

  • This role is vital for developing, cultivating, qualifying leads, continued growth and the closing new business for Safeguard Industries.
  • Manage customer and partner relationships and expectations from an outside sales perspective.   
  • Call directly on and visit customer sites in a wide array of unique industries very few get to experience. 
  • Partner and work hand in hand with the safety and management professionals at these Fortune 1000 companies to collaboratively develop unique fall protection solutions to ensure their employees go home safe each day.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Must achieve sales, profit and budget targets.
  • Grow and maintain an effective sales pipeline utilizing CRM; build the business and win new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the customer specifications and how they relate to our products and services.
  • Strong Account planning with ability to prioritize accounts accordingly and execute account strategy.
  • Negotiate with involved parties to explore mutual benefit and reasonable options, supplying timely information while ensuring effective communications at all times, articulating appropriate commitments and agreements
  • Provide effective and timely post-sales support and monitor the post-sale process for potential issues. 
  • Demonstrate Technical acumen, recognize technical information quickly from multiple sources and demonstrate ongoing curiosity about technical developments in the field.
  • Experience in Strong Relationship management with ability to consistently listens to external and internal customers/partners needs, conveys knowledge of their issues and address questions and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Work effectively with the team, develop and maintain positive working relationship across groups
  • Attend trade shows and other trade organizations to drive sales within the territory. 
  • Make organized and professional presentations demonstrating product knowledge and applicability to products and services to customer needs and requirements.
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling.
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports.
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends 
  • Continuously improve through feedback
Requirements

  

  • Ability to travel up to 50-75%
  • 5+ years proven experience in industrial sales environment
  • Knowledge of construction industry sales process, a plus
  • Prior experience working with engineers, architects, end users to drive specification sales, preferred
  • Experience with selling Engineered Fall Protection, EBM, BME, Façade Access, Window Washing systems, a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering, preferred but not required
  • Ability to respond with a strong sense of urgency and care to customer requests, inquiries, and concerns
  • Ability to maintain positive and constructive relationship internally and externally, even under difficult circumstances
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CRM practices
