SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Springs Rescue Mission considers every position one of ministry and a vital and valued part of our team. The person in this role is responsible for obtaining job placement for vocational training participants that are work ready. In addition, for a period of at least 6 months post-employment, this role works extensively to help those persons maintain employment. This role also engages the community to obtain employment opportunities for trainees.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works effectively with Vocational Training Manager in getting all trainees ready for work within any specified timelines utilizing required processes.
- Meets routinely with work ready trainees regarding finding employment.
- Meets with employed participants as directed regarding maintaining employment.
- Develops and maintains a network of community employment partners who are willing to provide training and employment opportunities
- Collects and verifies data needed for vocational training and employment.
- Effectively collaborates with vocational trainers and other staff in relation to participants and their training.
- In this role, you may be required to drive on behalf of Springs Rescue Mission, so a valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required. To ensure the safety of our employees and compliance with state and federal law, SRM utilizes ongoing Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring. This means that you may be required to have MVR report run at any time to ensure you have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record if utilized as driver.
- Attends all required meetings and reviews SRM emails regularly

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of vocational training experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Computer literate with sound proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, and Internet, including email
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is a constant witness. Christ-centered and compassionate attitude in dealing with people including the homeless and faithfully upholds and exemplifies SRM’s Statement of Faith
- Diplomacy, poise, and excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with staff and trainees in a pleasant and professional manner with ability to speak clearly and comfortably on the phone
- Discretion and good judgement in dealing with sensitive information
- Excellent time management and organization skills with proven ability to manage tasks to completion
- Self-motivated ability to organize and perform duties with minimal supervision; Resourceful and proactive
- Compassionate toward homeless, addicted, mentally ill and poor
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL FACTORS:
Occasionally = 1%-33%; frequently = 34%-66%; continuously = 67%-100%.

Hourly rate & benefits include the following: $19.00 - $21.00/hour

- Initial PTO is accrued at a rate of 0.080700 per hour worked, per pay period, with a max balance of 168 hours per year with 50% of max balance able to roll over at the end of the year (84 hours), with 16 hours “pre-loaded” during the first two months (8 hours per month) of employment during the first year of employment.
