About the Candidate / Role
Tradewind Aviation is looking a full-time Parts Personnel to work out of our San Juan, PR (SJU) location. The individual should be attentive to detail, have strong organizational skills, good problem-solving skills, and a strong desire to help others. The position is non-exempt/hourly. Knowledge of aircraft/parts is a plus.
Essential Functions
- Source and order aircraft parts/shop equipment & supplies
- Unpacks, examines, counts, and labels incoming material
- Compares and matches paperwork (packing slips/certifications) with purchase orders
- Performs receiving, put away, picking, packing, and shipping of goods
- Obtain and prepare aircraft parts for delivery to the production floor
- Maintain inventory control and management system, including work order closing
- Maintain inventory accuracy and accessibility
- Process core returns (paperwork, packing, shipping)
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
- Provide positive, team-oriented collaboration and customer service with all internal and external stakeholders, project partners, and business users.
Required Qualifications
- Valid US Driver’s License + Clean Driving Record
- Valid passport without travel restrictions
- Eagerness to learn and willingness to train
- Must be willing to travel to various parts of the Caribbean and the Northeast US for short periods of time
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift / push or pull, greater than or equal to 90lbs.
- Ability to communicate effectively on the phone and in meetings (in person and virtual)
- Ability to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipment
Working Conditions
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, use of computers and office equipment
- Indoor office setting with standard lighting and temperature
- Exposure to outdoor elements including heat, cold, rain, wind, sun and airplane exhaust (fumes).
