Description

The Events Coordinator will assist with the engagement, planning, and execution of the church’s discipleship journey, creating strategic and meaningful pathways for individuals to grow in their faith and connection to the church. In addition, this position will support the work of the Events Team through cross-ministry coordination, event communications, logistical planning, supply procurement, and onsite event support. All responsibilities should be carried out with a heart for ministry and a commitment to advancing the church’s mission of being a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Events Director to develop, communicate, and implement ongoing Discipleship Journey initiatives, including strategy, content development, and visual representation.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Vision Summits and other vision engagement events that support the church's mission and strategic direction.
  • Manage Vision Ambassador Leader connection tracking, providing ongoing communication, support, and resources to ensure effective engagement with Vision Ambassador connections.
  • Collaborate with the Worship and Weekend Services teams to ensure current generosity initiatives are effectively communicated and represented through service elements such as videos, stage communication, and promotional materials.
  • Work closely with ministry area leaders and teams to develop, communicate, and implement new Discipleship Journey initiatives and engagement opportunities.
  • Provide first-level oversight, review, and accountability for the Discipleship Journey budget, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead volunteer teams to support and successfully execute events and ministry initiatives.
  • Assist with planning, logistics, communication, and execution of additional events that fall under the responsibility of the Events Team.
  • Provide administrative and communication support within the Events Director's email and related workflows as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as reasonably assigned in support of the church's mission and ministry objectives.

This position requires a highly organized and self-motivated individual with exceptional time management, project management, and communication skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, exercise sound judgment, maintain strict confidentiality, and thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities and plans may shift frequently. Flexibility, adaptability, and a solution-oriented mindset are essential for success.


The ideal candidate must be willing and available to travel and work outside of regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary to support Vision Summits, conferences, church-wide events, and other ministry initiatives. The ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, respond quickly to changing circumstances, and consistently move initiatives toward successful completion is critical.


Because this role serves and collaborates with leaders, staff, and volunteers across all ministry areas, the candidate must excel at building and maintaining strong, healthy relationships throughout the organization. Success in this position requires a positive, approachable, and servant-hearted attitude, along with the ability to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and foster trust and unity among teams. Experience 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, Ministry, Event Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing events in a fast-paced, high-capacity environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and teams.
  • Experience serving in a large, multi-site church environment preferred, particularly in churches with attendance exceeding 10,000 people.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic ministry environment which requires flexibility, adaptability, and a servant-hearted approach to leadership.
