Parts Delivery Driver

The Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for driving parts and equipment between store locations, our customers’ locations and/or supplier’s locations to pick up and return, safely and in accordance to all local, state and federal laws and/or company policies/procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Pick-up and deliver parts and equipment between store locations, customers’ locations and/or suppliers’ locations, safely and in accordance to all local, state and federal laws and/or company policies/procedures.
  • Load/unload delivery vehicle in a safe manner, securing all items.
  • Ensure timely and accurate pick-up/delivery; verify invoice or purchase order matches order being delivered; obtain customer signature of pick-up delivery.
  • Properly conduct pre and post trip inspections, reporting any deficiencies to management.
  • Collect payment from customer.
  • Maintain accurate log of pick-ups/deliveries.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand or walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent organizational, customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to pass Work Steps pre-employment physical.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively, following all policies, procedures and/or laws.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
  • Ability to be on-call 24/7.
