About the Role
We are seeking a talented Full Stack Cloud Software Engineer to join our engineering team. You will work collaboratively as part of a fast-paced agile team and be responsible for designing, developing, documenting and maintaining scalable cloud-based applications that power our medical device product ecosystem. As part of this role, you all also engage in evaluation of any new technologies to ensure software solutions are reliable, scalable and efficient to meet business objectives. The ideal candidate is a systematic problem-solver who enjoys untangling complex technical challenges and thrives in a regulated environment where precision and reliability are paramount.


Key Responsibilities

  • Full Stack Development: Design and implement robust, high-performance web applications using React on the frontend and Node.js/JavaScript on the backend.
  • Database Management: Architect and optimize data storage solutions using both MySQL (Relational) and NoSQL databases to handle diverse medical data sets.
  • API Design: Develop and maintain secure, scalable RESTful Services and also ensure seamless integration between cloud services and embedded software on the hardware.
  • Test Automation: Develop test automation for developed features or modules.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Build and deploy cloud-native solutions with a focus on high availability, security, and systematic error handling.
  • Security: Implement practical cloud security controls including IAM, least-privilege access, encryption at rest and in transit, and certificate management. Identify and address security vulnerabilities across cloud infrastructure and connected-device services.
  • Problem Solving: Apply a systematic approach to troubleshooting, debugging and resolving issues and any other complicated architectural and performance bottlenecks.
  • Compliance & Quality: Work closely with quality and regulatory teams to ensure software meets industry standards (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 62304, or HIPAA).


Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Education: B.S. Computer Science or equivalent technical degree.
  • Experience: 4+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Backend: Extensive experience building scalable services in Node.js.
  • Frontend: Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Data: Proven experience with MySQL and at least one NoSQL database (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
  • APIs: Expert knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.
  • Mindset: A demonstrated ability to break down "impossible" technical problems into manageable, logical solutions. Ability to read, understand, and execute job functions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using AI productivity tools
  • Industry Experience: Prior experience working in the Medical Device or Healthcare technology sector.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FDA/CE regulations and software validation processes.
  • ISO Standards: Familiarity with ISO 14971 (Risk Management) and IEC 62304 (Medical Device Software).
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
