Hoyle Tanner has an opening for an Entry Level Civil Engineer in our New England Municipal Engineering Division. This position can be based out of either our Manchester or Portsmouth, NH office. As a Civil Engineer you will:

• Work on municipal infrastructure and civil engineering projects within an assigned team
• Complete assignments with direction from the project engineer or project manager
• Prepare civil engineering design documents for site development, roadway, utility, drainage, and municipal infrastructure projects
• Develop grading, drainage, erosion control, utility, and roadway plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Perform engineering calculations related to stormwater management, hydraulics, and site design
• Assist with preparation of construction drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates
• May attend site visits with project engineer or project manager at meetings with clients and contractors
• May be responsible for construction observation and limited administration
• Read and understand technical drawings and specifications
• Demonstrate strong writing and communication skills
• Increase knowledge through continuous learning within and outside the organization including pursuit of an advanced engineering degree

• BSCE/ ME (preferred)
• 0-3 years of experience in consulting civil engineering, surveying, or construction
• EIT/ EI preferred, or ability to obtain
• Salary is contingent on experience
