The Job Development Specialist will support the employer and consumer needs in job searching and placement activities. In collaboration with client case managers or job seekers, will complete career assessments and assist job seeker in obtaining meaningful employment with external employers.
As the Job Development Specialist, you will:
- Provide job development opportunities for consumers by developing relationships with employers within the community and actively engaging employer contacts in order to provide skilled and qualified employees.
- Will provide job development, job seeking skills training, coaching and job placement to consumers in order to prepare qualified candidates;
- Will develop and communicate employer pathways to share with case management team in order to provide prepared and qualified candidates;
- In collaboration with the team, will design and implement a career plan that will lead to successful placement with employers;
- Will collaborate with community employers to host spotlight events to assist in the recruitment of qualified candidates for their open positions;
- In collaboration with employers, will provide qualified candidates in accordance with employers job specifications;
- Will maintain communication with employers and candidates to provide support and ensure employer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Human Services, Social Services, Business or related field, or demonstrated work experience in the Workforce Development field.
- Valid Ohio Driver's license.
- Clean driving record and proof of auto insurance.
- Post employment civilian background check and substance abuse testing are required.
