Position Type: Flex Security Day (7 AM - 3:30 PM) & Swing (3 PM - 11:30 PM)

Position Overview
We are seeking highly adaptable, professional, and customer-service-driven Flex Security Officers to support our elite corporate client accounts across the region, including high-profile sites.
As a Flex Officer, you will serve as a versatile team member capable of seamlessly stepping into critical corporate access control, patrol, and emergency response roles. You will maintain high-visibility security posts, oversee access control, handle client-facing communications, and enforce site-specific post orders across multiple corporate environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccess Control & Customer Service
- Serve as the primary point of contact at main lobby desks and entrance control points, delivering exceptional customer service to executives, employees, visitors, and vendors.
- Verify visitor credentials, issue guest badges, maintain accurate logs, and manage check-in/check-out procedures.
- Enforce strict building security policies in a calm, tactful, and professional manner.
Surveillance, Patrol & Site Operations
- Conduct thorough interior and exterior mobile/foot patrols of corporate offices, parking structures, and restricted facility zones.
- Monitor security cameras and VMS platforms (such as Genetec) to detect suspicious activity, security breaches, or safety hazards.
- Maintain active familiarization with various site layouts, emergency equipment, alarm zones, and post orders.
Incident Management & Safety
- Adhere strictly to a "Observe and Report" / No-Hands Policy for security incidents, utilizing verbal de-escalation techniques as a first line of resolution.
- Function as a Contingency Lead during building emergencies, leading evacuations and coordinating directly with emergency services (police, fire).
- Identify and report maintenance or facility hazards promptly to the Real Estate & Workplace Services (REWS) team.
Administrative & Reporting
- Generate detailed Daily Activity Reports (DAR), visitor logs, and comprehensive incident pass-downs.
- Investigate security incidents and submit clear, written incident reports and recommendations.
Job Type: Full-time
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years of progressive physical security, site security, or corporate access control experience.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage comfortably with individuals at all levels of an organization.
- Customer Service Focus: Strong interpersonal skills, composure under pressure, and a polished, professional demeanor suitable for high-end corporate settings.
- Flexibility & Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to changing shift schedules, varying post assignments, and fast-paced environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience operating VMS/CCTV software (Genetec experience preferred) and basic digital reporting software.
- Physical Fitness: Capability to walk extended patrols across building grounds and assist with physical emergency evacuations.
Required Licenses & Certifications
- California Driver’s License (CADL): Valid and in-state.
- BSIS Compliance: Valid California Security Guard Registration Card (Guard Card) or Proprietary Private Security Officer License (PPSO).
- De-Escalation Training: Certification or documented completion of de-escalation training.
- CPR/AED/First Aid: Preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
