Project Management Intern
Description

Reports to: Director of Project Fulfillment


Position Summary: The Project Management Intern will work closely with our estimating/project management team. The internship will provide the opportunity to gain an understanding of the basics of both disciplines.

Responsibilities and Duties:


Estimating

  • Understand the long range production schedule on how that ties to sales effort
  • Become familiar with Plan Room and provide bidding opportunities
  • Learn the sales order process and perform as necessary
  • Understand how to navigate drawings and specs as it relates to our business
  • Manage outside vendor pricing efforts

Project Management

  • Perform duties as it relates to the Project Administration efforts including Submittals, RFI’s, Change orders. 
  • Attend job meetings with lead Project Manager and take necessary minutes.
  •  Participate in project handoffs and review the contract documents to generate or confirm scope of work. 
  • File documents per PDM’s document control under the direction of the Project Coordinator. 
  • Participate in daily project communication efforts with internal groups and external clients and partner vendors. 


Requirements

Qualifications:

Knowledge & Skills: Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, 

Education: Currently a college student pursuing a 4-year degree in a construction related field.
