Position Summary:
As an ABEC Mechanical Assembler you will perform mechanical assembly of products using a variety or tools and equipment according to requirements, training is provided for applicants with the ability to learn and develop mechanical skills.  

Responsibilities:

· Working with hand tools, manufacturing equipment and measuring devices.

· Work on stainless steel product, including but not limited to:

- Cutting tube, Operate hand grinders.

- Polishing and cleaning stainless steel products.

- Mechanical Assembly activity.

· Attention to detail and accuracy in assembly process.

· Operate overhead crane and/or forklift. (training provided)

· Inspect and maintain proper and safe operation of all shop equipment.

· Conduct operations in a safe manner.

· Execute other tasks as assigned.

· Ability to travel when required.

Qualifications:

· Junior certificate or equivalent. 

· Experience working in a workshop or mechanical environment is an advantage.

· Ability to read tape measure and perform simple mathematical equations.

· Ability to read basic drawings and build product to specification.

· Proficient with the use of hand tools and basic fabrication tools.
