About the Opportunity


At MD&A, we believe the best improvements come from people who ask questions, challenge assumptions, and look for better ways to work. We are seeking a curious, creative, and customer-focused intern to help improve the tools, processes, and information that support our Outage Services Division. 


This is not a traditional internship. You won't just complete assigned tasks. You'll work alongside operations, field personnel, and business leaders to identify challenges, develop solutions, and implement improvements that have a real impact on the business.


What You'll Do

  • Improve and modernize training programs, procedures, and knowledge resources.
  • Build Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and other digital solutions that reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop creative ways to communicate data and operational information to technicians, project managers, and leadership.
  • Create user-friendly training materials and support the adoption of new technologies.
  • Explore AI, automation, and emerging technologies to solve business challenges.
  • Collaborate with employees across multiple departments to understand needs and develop practical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with Excel, Power Apps, Power Automate, reporting tools, or data analysis is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them to solve business challenges.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Residing in the San Antonio area.

Compensation

  • $21 per hour
  • 20-30 hours per week
  • Potential to continue through 2027
  • May qualify for academic credit
