What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and inspect the cleaning of guest rooms, turndown service, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are consistently maintained to provide a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel safety, accident prevention, loss prevention, health, and sanitation standards.
  • Assign daily work to housekeeping associates, taking into consideration special requests, guest needs, and areas requiring additional attention.
  • Monitor the progress of housekeeping operations throughout the shift to ensure an efficient and smooth workflow.
  • Distribute housekeeping supplies and equipment to associates at the beginning of each shift.
  • Monitor inventory and control the use of supplies to help maintain appropriate stock levels and control expenses.
  • Maintain accurate Lost & Found records and ensure items are properly logged and secured.
  • Respond to guest and housekeeping-related concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Work closely with housekeeping associates and hotel management to maintain excellent service standards.
  • Assist with cleaning guest rooms and other housekeeping areas on an as-needed basis.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

This Is a Hands-On Leadership Role

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you'll lead by example. When needed, you'll be expected to assist the housekeeping team with cleaning guest rooms and other areas of the hotel.

Housekeeping duties may include:

  • Cleaning and disinfecting a variety of surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and cleaning agents.
  • Bending, stooping, reaching, and extending arms overhead while performing cleaning duties.
  • Stripping and making beds and changing bed linens.
  • Lifting and handling bedspreads and other items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Requirements

 What We’re Looking For

  • Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests.
  • A positive, dependable, and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Willingness to pitch in and assist the team when needed.
