Description

JOB SUMMARY:


To perform preventative maintenance and tasks to keep the facilities operating for reliability and Visitor Experience. This position will maintain a high-quality level of the visitor experience thru maintenance of all visitors and back of house areas.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Perform daily maintenance inspections and repairs 
  • Perform Daily/ Weekly Preventative Maintenance tasks 
  • Perform Daily/Weekly pressure washing.
  • Perform event set-ups and take-downs as directed by the Facilities Supervisor 
  • Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services; such as plumbing, electric, HVAC.
  • Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned; 
  • Responsible for alerting the Facilities Supervisor of any unusual occurrence or damage that may have taken place or that may occur; 
  • Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines; as well as OHSA.
  • Ensure compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner; 
  • Follow established company policies and those outlined in the Employee Handbook; 
  • Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined; 
  • Cross train with the Custodian position. 
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED; plus two (2) years’ experience in facility maintenance work or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience 
  • Proficient with hand tools and power tools required
  • Experience in general maintenance or trades including painting, carpentry, electrical, mechanical or plumbing systems preferred


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner with all staff, volunteers, and visitors
  • Occasional varied weekly schedule to assist with events and programs 
  • Some exposure to chemicals used for cleaning and parts maintenance 
  • Frequent carrying and lifting up to 60 lbs. 
  • Able to work outside in summer and winter climates 
  • Occasional reaching, stooping, bending and repetitive arm motions
