Requirements
- Design industrial fixturing systems and related equipment.
- Interact with supplier representatives and customers to identify specifications, design components, and systems as necessary.
- Evaluate characteristics of equipment or systems.
- Confer with technical personnel to prepare designs.
- Confer with multiple segments of GED business to resolve design or operational problems.
- Recommend technical design or process changes to improve efficiency, quality, or performance.
- Investigate system, equipment, or product failures.
- Test performance of mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment.
- Create models of engineering designs or methods and implement design or process improvements.
- Create and maintain BOM structures.
- Analyze design or requirements information for mechanical equipment or systems.
- Identify new applications for existing technologies.
- Document technical design details.
- Research industrial processes or operations.
- All other duties assigned.
- 2-3 years’ relevant experience preferred.
- CREO Experience preferred.
- M.E.T or relevant experience preferred.
- Engineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra and geometry, and their applications.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings, and models.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
